Tom Hiebert

Organizational Development

Tom leads EMCOR’s Organizational Development program, with the mission to provide EMCOR employees with the knowledge they need to succeed at every level of the company.

Tom served on active duty as an infantry officer in the United States Army for over 28 years. His assignments included:

  • Two tours of duty along the Demilitarized Zone in the Republic of Korea
  • United States Army Southern European Task Force in Vicenza, Italy
  • Two operational deployments to sub-Saharan Africa
  • Two tours with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, including a combat deployment to Iraq as a Battalion Task Force Commander
  • An operational deployment as the Director of Operations/J3 to Islamabad, Pakistan 
  • 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii

In his final assignment at West Point, Tom led the Management program in the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership, served as the Director of the Dean’s Staff, and served as the Officer-in-Charge of the Army Rugby Team.

Tom holds several degrees:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point
  • Master’s of Military Arts and Sciences from the United States Army Command and General Staff College
  • Master’s in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College
  • Ph.D. in Business (Finance) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte
  • Tom spends his free time with his wife and two sons, traveling and attending sporting events, and serves as the Treasurer for the Army Rugby Advisory Committee.
