Kostas (Gus) Christakos
Treasurer
Gus’ responsibilities include liquidity and cash management; debt management; and general oversight of financial risk management. He also is responsible for acquisition financing; and the company’s corporate and commercial banking relationships.
He offers valuable insights for our growing company from his unique experience in international financial operations gained during assignments in Greece and the Netherlands.
Highly adept at strategizing and problem-solving, Gus helps our team achieve measurable efficiencies.
He joined EMCOR in 2017 as Assistant Treasurer, after serving as Assistant Treasurer at Silgan Holdings Inc. (Silgan) from 2006 to 2017. With Silgan, he managed banking relationships, financial risk, capital structure, insurance risk, investor relations, and more.
His tenure at Silgan also included a two-year expatriate assignment in the Netherlands, where he was responsible for managing working capital, credit insurance, and collections for 19 subsidiaries in 14 countries.
From 1997 through 2006, Gus held senior level finance, treasury, and auditing roles at Avon Products, Inc., where he ultimately directed the financial operations of 10 off-shore holding companies in seven countries. While with Avon, he also held a four-year expatriate position in Greece as Finance Director/CFO.
Gus received his Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Connecticut and is a Certified Treasury Professional.
