Matthew helps ensure that EMCOR companies operate safely and efficiently in order to meet regulatory requirements and operational goals.
His responsibilities include prevention of injuries and incidents, fleet effectiveness, environmental compliance, shop and field productivity improvement, and effective business continuity planning. Matt’s strategic and systematic approach, built on more than 20 years of experience in mechanical and electrical construction and facilities services, has led EMCOR to become a leader in safety, quality, and productivity.
In 1996, Matthew joined Wasatch Electric, an EMCOR Company, and in 2001 he joined EMCOR Facilities Services. During his tenure, he worked in a variety of operational and financial roles. From 2003 – 2016, Matthew served as EMCOR’s Director of Productivity and Quality Management.
Matthew graduated summa cum laude from Westminster College with a Bachelor of Arts in International Business. He then received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Utah. Matthew speaks fluent Spanish. He has been an ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence. He serves on the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics (BCPE) and as Adjunct Faculty for the National Electrical Contractors Association’s (NECA) Management Education Institute.
Matthew enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, reading, training, running, participating in community activities, and spending time relaxing and playing in the great outdoors.
