ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI ---- October 3, 2016 –– EMCOR Government Services, a subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc., announced today that its employees, along with those of its client, Express Scripts, donned EMCOR Pink Hard Hats and assembled to form EMCOR’s signature giant human pink ribbon---the first ever to be formed in Missouri---in a “Call to Action” to support EMCOR’s 8th Annual “Protect Yourself. Get Screened Today.” campaign. The event was held at Express Scripts headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, where 180 people assembled to form the Pink Hard Hat Ribbon, and an additional 180 people wore Pink Hard Hats and took part in event activities

Mike Rodgers, President, EMCOR Government Services, presented a Pink Hard Hat plaque to Chris Houston, Senior Vice President, Operations, Express Scripts, who spoke passionately about her support for breast cancer awareness.

“This is EMCOR’s 8th consecutive year of spearheading the national Pink Hard Hat initiative. Over the years we’ve had people come forward and say they believe this unique way of raising awareness of breast cancer and screening has had an impact on helping save their own life or that of a loved one,” stated Mike Rodgers, President, EMCOR Government Services. "Many of our employees wear hard hats on a daily basis for personal protection, and we’re proud of their commitment to wear an EMCOR Government Services Pink Hard Hat in October to raise awareness for breast cancer, reminding women and men they can help protect themselves by getting screened."

EMCOR Government Services employees will be joined by thousands of additional EMCOR employees nationally wearing Pink Hard Hats during October at hundreds of work sites, ranging from hospitals to bridges, malls to military bases, and data centers to refineries.

The “multiplier effect” continues as even more people are reached with the “Protect Yourself. Get Screened Today.” message when EMCOR employees take the Pink Hard Hats home each night and they are seen by spouses, daughters, sisters, neighbors, and many others.
Millions more people will be reached nationally by EMCOR’s fleet of 7,000+ service vehicles, including EGS vehicles, which are displaying Pink Hard Hat posters during October with the “Protect Yourself. Get Screened Today.” campaign message.
